Collage is about gathering. I gather images, sometimes by cutting them out of magazines and books, or by looking through the view finder of my camera. I gather words, from poetry to phrases, describing notions and ideas. Then all the gatherings are played with, like puzzle pieces, until they arrange themselves, organically, to become a collage.
